In addition to the new line of underwear, I saw that there were some plus size models on the website, which is amazing considering VS's history with their models "being too thin" and not representing much of the female population.

I know this doesn't have anything to do with women writing, but you should really check out the site if you get a chance! It's pretty awesome.
Wow this is so amazing and such a big step for Victoria’s Secret. I’m glad Victoria’s secret has decided to become a source of empowerment for women, instead of the exact opposite.
ReplyDeleteI was actually looking at this the other day. It really sends a great message to the general public. Especially because Victoria's Secret is such a main stream brand. Our society tends to promote sex. Its all over the media and our clothing. By all means sex is not a bad thing but underwear that says "touch me" can send out the wrong message to some people. I think that as women we shouldn't have to watch what we wear. We should be able to wear what we want without worrying about what kind of attention it draws. Unfortunately though we can't control how people perceive us.Society thinks its a women's fault if she gets assaulted because she was the one that put on the short skirt. But this underwear sheds light on these important topics that are not always talked about.
